The middle school component of the Health Science Academy encourages and supports middle school students' (grades 6-8) interest in the health sciences. The program provides exposure to various health science career opportunities, providing role models, facilitating self exploration, and field trips.

Currently, we partner with three middle schools in Brooklyn to provide educational enrichment to students who show an interest in medical, or health professions and who are performing well academically. 

This program is held on-site at our partner schools. The students participate in ten 45-minute sessions throughout the year. At the schools, we build skills in critical thinking, collaboration, questioning, and reflection as well as familiarity with career clusters and pathways.
