1. Brooklyn Health Promotion Summer Internship Program

The Brooklyn Health Promotion Summer Internship Program (BHPSIP) is a 4-week community-engaged research program for high school students that introduces the fundamentals of public health, health sciences and research. BHPSIP provides an opportunity for local high school students who have interests in public health, health sciences and/or medicine to gain an understanding of health disparities and the social determinants of health that impact the health and wellness of our communities. It also provides students with an opportunity to build relationships with local community-based organizations (CBOs) through a partnership developing research projects.

BHPSIP is scheduled to take place July 6th- 30th, 2026, Monday-Thursday from 9:45am-3:30pm. Participating students will receive a $750 stipend and a letter of community service. See attached flyer for additional information.

Eligible high school students interested in public health, health sciences, community engagement, or health disparities research can apply.
